TRADING HALT

The securities of Verus Investments Limited (the “Company”) will be placed in pre-open at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in pre-open until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Tuesday, 15 September 2009 or when the announcement is released to the market.

REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT

Verus Investments Limited (the “Company) hereby requests a trading halt in its securities effective immediately.

The Company advises as follows:

1. The trading halt is being requested by the Company as it is currently in discussions regarding a new investment opportunity, which may involve a capital raising;

2. The Company is not in a position to make an announcement;

3. The Company requests that the trading halt continue until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Tuesday 15 September or when an announcement is made by the Company regarding those discussions.

The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
