Verus Investments Limited (ASX ‐ VIL ) is pleased to announce completion of a private placement, to professional and sophisticated investor clients of Alto Capital, raising approximately $0.528 million after costs.

Verus has completed the allotment of 71.5 million shares at an issue price of 0.8 cents per share. This placement falls within the Company’s 15% placement capacity under ASX Listing Rule 7.1 and as such was not subject to shareholder approval.

The funds raised will be used to finance the development costs associated with the Fausse Point opportunity in Louisiana.

Chairman Andrew McIlwain commented on the capital raising stating “ The Board was encouraged by the continued strong shareholder support for this placement as well as the recent Rights Issue. Conscious of the effect of dilution on individual shareholdings, this combined approach to securing the funds needed for well drilling and development was deemed to be the most appropriate. We now look forward to the initial drill results from Fausse Point ”.
