PLACEMENT TO RAISE $2.1 MILLION

Verus Investments Ltd (“Verus” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has resolved to raise up to $2.1 million before costs through a private placement of shares to professional and sophisticated investors of Alto Capital. Verus proposes to issue up to 81 million shares at an issue price of 2.6 cents per share.

Alto Capital has been engaged as lead manager for the Placement, which is being undertaken pursuant to S708 of the Corporations Act (Cwth) 2001. This placement falls within the Company’s 15% placement capacity under ASX Listing Rule 7.1 and as such is not subject to shareholder approval.

The Verus Board, whilst conscious of expanding the share base, consider it prudent to raise additional capital at this time. This will ensure that sufficient funds will be available for the development of the first Fausse Point well, if successful, in addition to the potential future participation in drilling of additional wells in the highly prospective Fausse Point onshore oil and gas prospect in Louisiana.
