Verus Board Changes

Verus Investments Limited (ASX: VIL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Freeman as a Non-Executive Director with the Company, effective immediately.

Mr Freeman has more than 15 years' experience in corporate finance and the resources industry. He has extensive experience in strategic planning, business development, acquisitions and mergers, particularly in oil and gas, as well as general project management.

Mr Freeman is currently an Executive Director with Quest Petroleum NL, and Company Secretary of Grand Gulf Energy Limited.

Mr Freeman is a graduate of the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Banking & Finance and Accounting. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance with a major in Corporate Finance from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Verus also wishes to advise that Michael Montgomery will not be seeking re-election as a Non-Executive Director at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. Mr Montgomery has decided to pursue other interests in the resources sector.

In announcing the board changes, Verus Chairman Andrew McIlwain acknowledged Mr Montgomery’s contribution during the past three years and wished him well in his future endeavours.

“The appointment of Mark to the Verus Board following the merger with Pass Petroleum is a welcome compliment to the existing skills base and will assist us with the integration of our recent additional investments,” Mr McIlwain said.
