ANNOUNCEMENT ON CHANGE IN EMPLOYEE SUPERVISORS OF THE EIGHTH SESSION OF THE SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE

Two employee supervisors, namely Mr. Xu Yifei (徐一飛) and Ms. An Zhijuan (安志娟) were democratically elected at the meeting of representative of employees convened by China Shipping Development Company Limited (“China Shipping Development” or the “Company”) on 20 July 2016.

The eighth session of the supervisory committee of the Company consists of Mr. Xu Yifei and Ms. An Zhijuan as well as Mr. Xu Wenrong and Mr. Chen Jihong. The term of supervisor office of Mr. Xu Yifei and Ms. An Zhijuan commences on 20 July 2016 up to the date of the expiry of the term of office of the eighth session of the supervisory committee (17 June 2018). Mr. Luo Yuming and Ms. Chen Xiuling, the original employee supervisors, will resign from their office with effect from 20 July 2016.

The Company would like to express its gratitude to Mr. Luo Yuming and Ms. Chen Xiuling for their dutiful and responsible work during the period of their service as the employee supervisors and having safeguarded the interests of the shareholders and the benefits of the staff.

The following are the biographies of new two employee supervisors:

Mr. Xu Yifei, born in November 1965 and aged 50, is a marine captain, a senior engineer and has a bachelor degree in engineering. He is currently the chairman of the labor union of the Company. Mr. Xu Yifei has been served as a ship’s chief officer of Shanghai Hai Xing Shipping Company Limited, a ship’s marine captain of China Shipping International Ship Management Co., Ltd., the deputy chief of the maritime

management department, the section chief and deputy general manager of vessel administration department, the department head of human resources department and the chairman of labor union of China Shipping Tanker Company Limited. He serves as the chairman of labor union of the Company since June 2016.

Ms. An Zhijuan, born in April 1978 and aged 38, a political engineer, has a postgraduate degree and a master degree in law. She is currently the department head of monitor and audit department of the Company. Ms. An graduated from Dalian Maritime University in April 2003 majoring in international law. She has been served as the deputy chief of the supervision and audit department of China Shipping Air Cargo Co., Ltd., the vice section chief of the supervision and audit department of China Shipping (Group) Company. Ms. An serves as the department head of the supervision and audit department since she joined the Company in September 2015, and she serves as the department head of the supervision and audit department of the Company since June 2016.

The above employee supervisors will not receive any remuneration for his/her supervisorship. Save as disclosed above, none of them holds any director or supervisor position in any other listed public companies, or any other major appointment or qualification during the last three years. None of the above employee supervisors has any relationship with any other directors, supervisors, senior management or substantial shareholders of the Company. None of the above employee supervisors has any interests in the shares of the Company within the meaning of Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

In addition, there is no other information in relation to the above employee supervisors which is discloseable pursuant to any of the requirements set out in Rules 13.51(2)(h) to 13.51(2)(v) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “Listing Rules”), nor is he/she involved in any of the matters required to be disclosed pursuant to the Listing Rules. Save for the above, there is no other matter that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.

As at the date of this announcement, the board of directors of the Company comprises Mr. Sun Jiakang, Mr. Huang Xiaowen, Mr. Ding Nong, Mr. Yu Zenggang, Mr. Yang Jigui, Mr. Han Jun and Mr. Qiu Guoxuan as executive Directors, Mr. Wang Wusheng, Mr. Ruan Yongping, Mr. Ip Sing Chi, Mr. Rui Meng and Mr. Teo Siong Seng as independent non-executive Directors.
