ASX RELEASE 10 September 2015
Tick Hill Surface Gold Project COMPLETION OF SECOND STAGE DRILLING PROGRAM
-
Second stage in-fill drilling program completed.
-
200 samples submitted for gold grade analysis.
-
Two bulk samples submitted for preliminary metallurgical testing.
Superior Resources Limited ( ASX Code: SPQ ) ( Superior or the Company ) confirms the completion of the second stage drilling program at the Tick Hill Surface Gold Project. The program was focused on the tailings storage facility ( TSF ) and follows on from the reconnaissance drilling program conducted during late July 2015.
The objectives of the second stage program are to:
-
further define the gold grade characteristics across the TSF;
-
obtain further data to facilitate a resource estimate; and
-
obtain bulk samples to enable preliminary metallurgical test work to be undertaken.
Drilling Program
The program was conducted by Superior together with joint venture partner Diatreme Resources Limited ( DRX ). The program utilised a DRX-owned air-core drill rig and DRX staff.
A total of 31 drill holes resulted in 218 metres drilled and 200 down-hole geochemical samples taken at one metre intervals (Figure 1). The drill holes were located on a 50 metre by 50 metre grid, which in-filled the holes drilled during the first stage drilling program.
Assaying and Metallurgical Test Work
A total of 200 samples have been submitted for gold analysis to enable the calculation of a resource estimate. In addition, composited bulk samples taken from five drill holes in each of the TSF paddocks have been submitted for preliminary metallurgical test work to determine the characteristics of the tailings material and the gold mineralisation.
Results from the gold analysis and metallurgical test work are expected to be received within two weeks and six weeks respectively.

Further Work – Scoping Study
Subject to the results of the further assaying and metallurgical test work, a scoping study will be commenced in order to determine potential gold recovery and processing flow sheets.
