Experienced mining industry executive Gregory Starr appointed as Non-Executive Director

Diatreme Resources Limited (ASX:DRX) is pleased to announce that it has strengthened its Board talent, announcing today the appointment of experienced resources industry executive Gregory Starr as a NonExecutive Director.

With more than 20 years’ international experience, Mr Starr has served as managing director of a number of listed mining and exploration companies listed on the Australian (ASX) and Canadian stock exchanges (TSX).

Along with his extensive operational management experience, he has been involved in numerous equity, convertible equity and debt fund raisings, along with significant multijurisdictional expertise in mergers, acquisitions and divestments.

Mr Starr is a Member of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He also holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Technology Sydney.

Welcoming his appointment, Diatreme’s Chairman, William Wang said: “Diatreme’s recent advances in substantially de-risking the company’s flagship Cyclone Zircon Project has led the Board to seek a further independent and operationally experienced skill set within our current structure. We believe Mr Starr is eminently capable of providing these skills and we look forward to his positive contribution in delivering shareholder value.”

The appointment has strengthened an already experienced Board and management team, which has enabled the Company to reach a number of key milestones in its evolution from explorer to potential developer.
