Establishment of Dialight Brasil Participacoes Ltda

Dialight is pleased to announce the establishment of Dialight Brasil Participacoes Ltda ("Dialight Brasil"), a joint venture with Laércio Pereira.  Dialight Brasil will be responsible for the promotion and sale of Dialight industrial and hazardous area lighting products in the Mercosul region.

Laércio Pereira, a Brasilian citizen, will join Dialight as Chief Executive Officer of Dialight Brasil with a 25% stake in the company.  With extensive professional background in sales and operations, and 25 years in the electrical supplies distribution business, Laercio most recently held senior management positions at companies with strong local presence and share in the Brasilian market, oriented to industrial end-users such as Nortel Suprimentos and REXEL Electrical Supplies. 

Dialight will also add an assembly plant in Brasil in the second half of 2013, which will supply a complete product portfolio adapted to local industrial market requirements including INMETRO certified products for hazardous locations.  The company expects to include local content to the fixtures manufactured in Brasil in order to provide an additional benefit to companies that need to comply with related local regulations.

With the U.S. Energy Information Administration reporting Brasil as the ninth largest oil producing country in 2010-producing approximately one-third of total oil supply in Central and South America-Dialight's entry into Brasil's hazardous location market could not be more welcomed by companies looking to maximize safety and environmental sustainability while improving their bottom lines.
