AGM STATEMENT

Driver, the global consultancy to the construction and engineering industries, is holding its Annual General Meeting later today.  At the meeting, Non-Executive Chairman, Alan McClue, will make the following statement:

"At the time of the announcement of Driver's Preliminary Results, I stated that our Medium Term Plan is to establish all our key service offerings globally and we planned to extend our reach by opening offices in Canada, Mainland Europe and Asia Pacific. We saw continuing opportunities in our existing markets in Africa and the Middle East as well as opportunities to continue to strengthen our presence in the Oil & Gas sector." 

"I also stated that first quarter visibility indicated a particularly strong start to the current year."

"I am pleased to confirm that, in line with our stated plans, we have now opened offices in Aberdeen, Scotland; Brisbane, Australia and Munich, Germany and have secured appointments in Canada.  The Aberdeen and Brisbane offices provide direct access to significant oil and gas projects in conjunction with our office in Houston, Texas." 

"Our operations in Africa and the Middle East continue the momentum of the previous financial year with very strong order books and the European Region, boosted by the successfully completed integration of Trett, is performing at the top end of our expectations."

Overall I am delighted that the strong start to the year has continued into the second quarter and by the progress we are making against our Plan. Given the strong trading of the Company and particularly our 3 largest Regions of Europe, Middle East and Africa, I look forward to the remainder of the year with a high degree of optimism."
