DFDS ro-ro-fragtrute mellem Rosyth i Skotland og Zeebrügge i Belgien lukker.

Ruten, der betjenes af én ro-ro-fragtfærge med tre ugentlige rundture, har længe kæmpet med problemer med at indfri forventningerne til den økonomiske udvikling. Fragtmængder samles i stigende omfang i knudepunkter, der tilbyder en høj afgangsfrekvens og muliggør indsættelse af større skibe.

Da det hverken forventes, at mængderne på ruten vil stige eller være store nok til at bevare en effektiv rutestruktur, bliver ruten lukket.

Den årlige omsætning på ruten var på ca. 100 mio. kr. i 2017.
