SALE OF CANAL TOURS

DFDS increases focus of business areas

DFDS A/S has today entered into an agreement with Strömma Turism & Sjöfart AB concerning the sale of 100% of the share capital in DFDS Canal Tours A/S. The sales price for the shares is DKK 110m.

The sale implies a profit of approx. DKK 80m, which will be included in 2011 as Special items.

DFDS acquired DFDS Canal Tours as part of the acquisition of Dan Transport in 1998. The company is divested as there are no important synergies between canal tours and DFDS' other business areas and to focus DFDS' portfolio of business areas.

Strömma Turism & Sjöfart operates similar tourism businesses in a number of Nordic cities, including tourist busses in Copenhagen. This experience will be used to strengthen the development of DFDS Canal Tours and make the company an even stronger part of tourism in Copenhagen.
