Acquisition of investment in Commonwealth Property Office Fund
DEXUS Property Group (DXS) today announced that it had acquired, by way of a forward contract, a 14.9% interest in Commonwealth Property Office Fund (CPA).
The agreement provides DEXUS with the ability to acquire the underlying CPA units at a price of $1.1334 per unit, representing a 1.5% discount to CPA’s last stated NTA of $1.15 (at 31 December 2012).
This investment is expected to be accretive to earnings.
The CPA portfolio comprises $3.7 billion of prime-grade office properties which is consistent with DEXUS’s investment in high quality Australian office properties.
A substantial holder notice has been lodged with the ASX separately.
