Appointment of Gerard Hoetmer as a Non-Executive Director

Devro plc, one of the world's leading manufacturers of collagen products for the food industry, announces the appointment of Gerard Hoetmer to the board as a non-executive director with immediate effect.

Gerard Hoetmer is CEO of Corbion, the quoted international biobased products company which is listed under the name CSM nv on NYSE Euronext Amsterdam. He was responsible for the transformation of the business into the current focused biobased company.

Gerard, a Dutch national with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University, started his career with Unilever in 1980. He held a number of positions with Unilever until 2005. His latest position was Senior Vice President Supply Chain Unilever Foods and he was a member of Unilever Foods Executive. Gerard is also Chairman of Spieren voor Spieren, a medical charity.
