EXCEPTIONAL INTERCEPT EXPANDS AND STRENGTHENS HIGH-GRADE COPPER MINERALISATION AT SULPHUR SPRINGS

Initial results support potential eastern extension of shallow mineralisation

Venturex Resources (ASX: VXR) is pleased to advise that the first reverse circulation (RC) drill hole completed as part of a recent drilling programme designed to extend the Indicated Resources at its 100%-owned Sulphur Springs CopperZinc Project, 144km south of Port Hedland in WA, has returned an outstanding thick intercept of high-grade copper mineralisation.

Drill hole SSR007 returned the following assay results:

  • 29m @ 1.47% Cu from 45m

  • 9m @ 0.86% Cu from 82m

  • 31m @ 3.24% Cu from 94m

  • including an outstanding high-grade interval of 11m @ 4.15% Cu from 99m

These outstanding results represent an exceptional start to the programme and have exceeded the Company’s expectations. The results from SSR007 provide further evidence to support the Company’s view that the high-grade copper mineralisation extends further to the east.

SSR007 was drilled through the siliceous hanging wall sequence to a down-hole depth of 45m. Below this, a significant intercept totalling 80m of massive and semi-massive sulphides (from 45 to 125m down-hole) was intersected with visible chalcopyrite evident within the pyrite host. Due to the challenging topography and restricted nature of access, the drillhole was designed on a non-conventional angle and was terminated at the planned end-of-hole depth within semimassive sulphides.

The hole was part of a drill programme designed to test a section of the Inferred Resource located immediately east of the highly successful 2017 drilling programme (see ASX release 18 January 2018). Hole SSR008 (assays pending) was also designed to further test and extend the high-grade copper mineralisation in the upper parts of the orebody.

The results from SSR007 and SSR008 will be used to increase the level of geological confidence in the Sulphur Springs Resource, while also extending the Indicated Mineralisation approximately 60 metres to the east of the Indicated Resource envelope delineated by the 2017 drilling programme (see ASX release 21 March 2018).

The high-grade copper mineralisation is currently interpreted to extend a further 150m to the east, where two historical drill-holes indicate its continuation. Further drilling is planned to identify the full extent of this copper enrichment zone.

Following completion of the Drilling Programme, the drill rig has since moved to the Breakers Prospect, located approximately 15 kilometres to the south of Sulphur Springs. This programme will comprise eight exploration holes targeting mineralisation that was identified in historical drilling beneath a cuprite-malachite gossan that returned exceptional values from surface rock chip sampling of up to 36.7% Cu, 0.42% Zn, 0.19% Pb and 124ppm Ag (see ASX announcement 1 May 2019).

Venturex’s Managing Director, AJ Saverimutto, said: “The assay results from SSR007 are impressive and highlight the quality of the development opportunity at Sulphur Springs, where high-grade copper mineralisation occurs close to surface and will provide early ore feed to the mill from the planned initial open pit”.

RC drilling is being used to test the Sulphur Springs deposit. The company uses industry
standard practices to measure and sample the chips. A combination of 4-metre composite
and 1-metre split samples will be submitted to the laboratory for analysis

Drill type (e.g. core, reverse circulation, open-hole hammer, rotary air blast, auger, Bangka, sonic,
etc.) and details (e.g. core diameter, triple or standard tube, depth of diamond tails, face-
_sampling bit or other type, whether core is oriented and if so, by what method, etc.). _
Reverse Circulation drilling is completed using a standard 5.5inch diameter hammer.
Drill sample
recovery

Method of recording and assessing core and chip sample recoveries and results assessed.

Measures taken to maximise sample recovery and ensure representative nature of the samples.

Whether a relationship exists between sample recovery and grade and whether sample bias may
have occurred due to preferential loss/gain of fine/coarse material.
Sample condition, including estimated recovery and moisture content are recorded for each
sample by a geologist or technician. When poor sample recovery is encountered during
drilling, the geologist and driller have endeavoured to rectify the problem to ensure maximum
sample recovery. Sample recoveries at Wagga Tank have been variable in places and poorer
sample recoveries encountered. Insufficient data is available at present to determine if a
relationship exists between recovery and grade.
Logging
Whether core and chip samples have been geologically and geotechnically logged to a level of
detail to support appropriate Mineral Resource estimation, mining studies and metallurgical
studies.

Whether logging is qualitative or quantitative in nature. Core (or costean, channel, etc.)
photography.

The total length and percentage of the relevant intersections logged.
RC chips are geologically logged for the total length of the hole using a graphic logging
method. Logging routinely recorded weathering, lithology, mineralogy, mineralization,
structure, alteration and veining. Logs are coded using the company geological coding legend
and entered into the company database.

Trace less than 1% sulphides.

Disseminated and stockwork 1-50% sulphides.

RC cuttings are split using a rig-mounted cone splitter and the one metre samples from the
mineralised zone are individually submitted for assay. Four-metre composite samples are
taken using a PVC tube through the hanging wall sequence; the one metre composite
samples returning anomalous values will be submitted to elucidate the mineralisation. Field
duplicated are taken every 10 samples within mineralisation.

Commentary
Samples from the current drilling programme were assayed by Australian Laboratory Services
Pty. Ltd. Composite and one metre RC samples were prepared and analysed by the following
methods: Samples weighed, crushed and pulverised with the coarse residue retained in
vacuum seal bags. Ag, As, Bi, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, S and Zn analysed by
method ME-OG62 and Au by fire assay method Au-AA25. The company included certified
reference material and blanks with the samples submitted.
The significant intersections reported have been prepared by geologists with relevant VMS
experience. No twinned holes have been drilled. The company uses standard templates
created in Excel to collate sample intervals, drill collar, downhole survey information which
are emailed to the company main office were the information is loaded into a database.
Geological descriptions are recorded in long hand prior to being summarised for digital data
capture.
Drill hole collars were located using a handheld GPS operated by company personnel. Drill
holes are down-hole surveyed by a gyro at the end of hole.
Data/drill hole spacing is variable and appropriate to the geology and historical drilling. 4-
metre sample compositing has been applied to RC drilling within the hanging wall sequence
for gold and multi-element assay.
Drill holes are designed to test the Sulphur Springs orebody which plunges at ~40-50 degrees
to the north. Due to restricted access and topography SSR007 was drilled at an angle -60 to
an azimuth of 045 degrees. The drill holes have been designed to test near surface potential
of sulphide mineralisation amenable to mining by open pit methods and are considered
appropriate for the geometry of the deposit.
The chain of custody is managed by the on-site geologist who places calico sample bags in
poly-weave sacks. Up to 5 calico sample bags are placed in each sack. Each sack is clearly

Results reported in this release for SSR007 relate to visual observations of drill core,
specifically the identification of common sulphide minerals. No estimate of grade or
concentration of the minerals is provided. No length weighting or top-cuts have been applied.
Any zones of core loss or cavity are assigned a grade of zero.
Results reported are determined by ALS Laboratories using method ME-OG 62 and fire assay
AuAA25.
