NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

Venturex Resources Limited (ASX: VXR) (Venturex) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr James (Jim) Mellon as a Non-Executive Director.

The appointment of Mr Mellon adds considerable commercial experience to the Board as the Company progresses the exploration and development options for the Pilbara Copper-Zinc Project. He has over 20 years’ investment experience in Asia and specialises in the development and restructuring of international companies.

Mr Mellon holds a Master’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University and, since graduating in 1978, his career has been spent in asset management.

Mr Mellon is the Non-Executive Co-Chairman of Regent Pacific Group Limited (Regent) and co-founded the Company in 1990. Regent is Venturex’s largest Shareholder holding 31.87% of the issued capital.

Venturex’s Chairman, Mr Tony Kiernan said “ We are delighted to welcome such an experienced industry professional of Jim’s calibre to the Board of Venturex. Jim’s input will be invaluable as the Company progresses towards its goal of being Australia’s next significant Copper-Zinc producer . ”

In addition to his current role with Regent, Mr Mellon is also:

• (i) a Non-Executive Director of Charlemagne Capital Limited, a NonExecutive Director of Condor Gold plc, the Executive Chairman of Manx Financial Group plc, a Non-Executive Director of Plethora Solutions Holdings plc, the Non-Executive Chairman of Port Erin Biopharma Limited, the Executive Chairman of Speymill plc, a NonExecutive Director of Summit plc and the Non-Executive Co-Chairman of West African Minerals Corporation (formerly known as Emerging Metals Limited), all of which are listed on the Alternative Investment Market (“AIM”) of the London Stock Exchange;

• (ii) a Non-Executive Director of Brazilian Gold Corporation and Miraculins Inc, which are both listed on the TSX Venture Exchange; and

• (iii) a Non-Executive Director of Polo Resources Limited, which is dually listed on AIM and the TSX Venture Exchange.
