The securities of Venturex Resources Limited (the "Company") will be placed in preopen at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in pre-open until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Monday, 22 March 2010 or when the announcement is released to the market.

TRADING HALT REQUEST
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Venturex Resources Limited (ASX: VXR), I request the securities of the Company be placed in a trading halt pending an announcement regarding a capital raising.
We expect the trading halt to end upon the release of an announcement prior to commencement of trading on Monday, 22 March 2010.
Neither the Board nor I are aware of any reason that the trading halt should not be granted.
