APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

The Board of Venturex Resources Limited (Venturex) is pleased to advise that Mr Anthony Kiernan has been appointed Non-Executive Chairman, effective 14 July 2010.

Mr Kiernan is a solicitor with extensive experience gained over 35 years in the management and operation of listed public companies. As both a lawyer and general consultant, he has practiced and advised extensively in the fields of resources, media and information technology. He is Chairman of BC Iron Limited and Uranium Equities Limited and a director of Chalice Gold Ltd and Liontown Resources Limited, all listed on the ASX.

Mr Kiernan's extensive legal and corporate experience will be invaluable to the Company as it advances its Whim Creek assets towards future production.

Subject to Shareholder approval at the AGM, Mr Kiernan will be granted 3,000,000 unlisted options to acquire ordinary shares in the Company at no cost as a component of his remuneration package. The proposed options will vest immediately upon issue and will expire three years from the date of issue, at an exercise price being a 50% premium to the share price at the date of issue, with a floor exercise price of 15 cents per option.

The Board takes this opportunity to thank Dr Allan Trench for his leadership as Chairman since November 2008 and looks forward to his continued contribution to the success of the Company as a Non-Executive Director.
