CHAIRMAN’S ADDRESS

TO THE

2010 ANNUAL GENERAL MEEETING

As I mentioned in my report in the Annual Report, the last financial year has been one of great progress for Venturex.

The acquisition of the Straits Resources’ properties at Whim Creek has enabled the Company to consolidate three Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) fields in the Pilbara region under one owner for the first time.

The acquisition also came with a well-developed mining infrastructure centre which will certainly assist in the consolidation of the VMS fields and the creation of a central processing facility.

Over the last year the company has completed several successful drilling programs resulting in significant improvements in the size and grade of key ore systems.

We have today released the positive results of an independently conducted scoping study on the Company’s 100% owned Pilbara VMS Copper Project. Tim will run through this in his presentation later and I’m sure Shareholders will be very pleased with the results of the study.

As well as working up resource figures and having the scoping study undertaken, Venturex has continued its exploration activities in the region and will continue to do so. We believe tremendous potential still remains with that potential being based on sound geological assessment and consideration.

Tim and his team are deliberate and thorough in their work and should be commended for what has been achieved throughout the last year.

I have only had the pleasure of being on the Board of Venturex for the last few months, but have been impressed by the professionalism and attention to detail.

Shareholders will be aware of the exciting announcement made earlier this month about the acquisition of the Serra Verde Project in Brazil. This project provides an attractive new gold exploration opportunity for Venturex in Brazil which will be pursued in parallel with the Pilbara VMS copper project.

We thank Shareholders for their support over the year and I am sure they join with me in looking forward to a most interesting 12 months.
