The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Lufthansa lifts first-half operating result to 253 million euros and raises full-year forecast to more than 400 million euros The Lufthansa Group posted an operating profit of 253 million euros (previous year: 33 million euros) on revenues of 8.5 billion euros (previous year: 8.3 billion euros) in the first half 2005. Net profit totalled 0.2 million euros; in the year-ago period, the Group returned a net profit of 39 million euros but that included book profits of 292 million euros from the sale of Lufthansa shares in Amadeus. The Lufthansa Group is now anticipating a full-year operating result in 2005 of more than 400 million euros.
