Für den Inhalt der Mitteilung ist allein der Emittent verantwortlich. —————————————————————————— Ad-hoc-Mitteilung gemäß § 15 Wertpapierhandelsgesetz Lufthansa: Zweitbestes Vorsteuerergebnis der Unternehmensgeschichte Der Lufthansa Konzern hat im Geschäftsjahr 1999 nach vorläufigen Zahlen mit einem Ergebnis vor Steuern in Höhe von über DM 1,9 Milliarden (= ca. EUR 970 Millionen) das zweitbeste Vorsteuerergebnis seiner Unternehmensgeschichte erzielt. Das operative Ergebnis wird die angekündigte Größenordnung von ca. DM 1,3 Milliarden (= ca. EUR 665 Millionen) erreichen. Das Finanzergebnis fällt aufgrund der höheren Ergebnisbeiträge der AMADEUS Global Travel Distribution S.A. deutlich positiver aus als 1998. Der Vorstand schlägt dem Aufsichtsrat eine gegenüber dem Vorjahr unveränderte Netto-Dividende in Höhe von DM 1,10 (=ca. EUR 0,56)je Aktie vor. Ad hoc release pursuant to § 15 of the securities trading act (Wertpapierhandelsgesetz) Lufthansa pre-tax profits in line for second best-ever in company history According to provisional figures for the 1999 business year, the Lufthansa Group returned pre-tax profits totalling more than DM 1.9 billion (approx. EUR 970 million). This is the second best-ever pre-tax performance in company history. The operative results amounting to DM 1.3 billion (approx. EUR 665 million) were within the announced dimension. Because of higher profit contributions by the AMADEUS Global Travel Distribution S.A. company, the financial results were distinctly better than expected. As in the last year, the Executive Board has proposed to the Supervisory Board a dividend of DM 1,10 (= EUR 0,56)per share.
