The candidate proposed by the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG
for a post on the Supervisory Board and former Chairman of the Executive
Board and CEO, Wolfgang Mayrhuber, has withdrawn his candidacy due to
criticism from shareholders regarding his nomination. Mayrhuber was due to
be elected as a member of the Supervisory Board and subsequently appointed
Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the Annual General Meeting on 7 May
2013. In its meeting on 6 May 2013, the Supervisory Board is to discuss an
additional nomination to be put to the Annual General Meeting. This
nomination will be made public as soon as it is agreed upon and will then
be put to the vote.
