He succeeds Jean-Peter Jansen, who stepped down as Chairman for health reasons in March 2006. Stefan Lauer, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, who took over as interim Chairman, shall then re-assume his post as Supervisory Board Chairman of Lufthansa Cargo AG.
