Deutsche Konsum REIT-AG acquires additional portfolio of six retail properties

Broderstorf, 8 th of Mai 2017 – Deutsche Konsum REIT-AG (ISIN DE000A14KRD3) has acquired an additional portfolio of six retail properties for EUR 26.5m. The portfolio comprises the following well-established retail locations:

– Hypermarkt in Meißen (surroundings of Dresden) with a rental space of approx. 24,200 sqm and Kaufland as anchor,

– Hypermarkt in Plauen (surroundings of Zwickau) with a rental space of approx. 24,000 sqm and Kaufland as anchor,

– Shopping Centre in Tangerhütte (surroundings of Magdeburg) with a rental space of approx. 2,600 sqm and Edeka as anchor.

– Shopping Centre in Limbach-Oberfrohna (surroundings of Chemnitz) with a rental space of approx. 1,800 sqm and Diska (Edeka) as anchor,

– Grocery Store in Sondershausen (surroundings of Erfurt) with a rental space of approx. 1,100 sqm with the tenant Tegut and

– Discount-Grocery in Eisenhüttenstadt (Brandenburg) with a rental space of approx. 1,000 sqm with Netto as tenant.

The properties were built between 1992 and 2006 and present themselves in a good condition. The total rental space amounts to approx. 54,700 sqm. Based on the current tenancy the portfolio realizes an annual rent of EUR 3.3m at a WALT of 4.3 years. Currently the vacancy rate lies at approx. 29% but should be swiftly reduced with the planned measures of revitalization. The transfer of title is expected for the 1 st of July 2017.

Along with the recently acquired properties in Guben and Oer-Erkenschwick the portfolio of Deutsche Konsum REIT-AG (after transfer of titles) comprises 62 retail properties with a total rental space of 330,000 sqm and an annualized total rent of around EUR 24.5m. The company currently is in negotiations regarding further acquisitions.
