De.mem Signs Definitive Agreements for Strategic Acquisition in Western Australia

19 March 2021: Water and wastewater treatment company De.mem Limited (ASX:DEM) (“De.mem” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has signed definitive agreements for the acquisition of the Capic business (“Capic”) in Western Australia.

Capic is a well established, Perth-based supplier of “high value add” specialty chemicals with a high-quality institutional customer base including BHP Billiton, Northern Star, Pilbara Minerals and Iluka Resources. Its products include scale and corrosion inhibitors, process additives such as defoamers, viscosity modifiers and dewatering aids, Reverse Osmosis membrane antiscalants and cleaners as well as a complete range of cooling tower water treatment chemicals.

The acquisition provides De.mem with increased scale, geographic diversion into the key strategic market of Western Australia, a complementary product range, a complementary blue chip institutional customer base, and potential revenue cross-sell synergies.

The legal completion of the acquisition is subject to the finalization of due diligence and the completion of the transfer of all material assets and contracts of Capic.
