De.mem Secures $500k Contract to Sell Water Treatment Plant

Tuesday, 8 August 2017: Singapore-based water and waste water treatment company De.mem (ASX:DEM) (“De.mem” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce it has successfully completed the sale of a water treatment plant located in Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District, Nghe An province, Vietnam, to a local Vietnamese company, Hung Thanh Environment Investment Joint Stock Company. The sale represents a validation of De.mem’s water treatment technology and the Company’s growing exposure in the Asia Pacific region. De.mem designed, built, owned and operated the water treatment plant previously under a so-called Build, Own, Operate (BOO) scheme. The water treatment plant is using modern hollow fibre membranes and generates high quality output water for municipal and industrial use. It has a capacity of up to 4,000 m3 of water per day. The water is used by the nearby municipality and a number of factories. Using De.mem technology, the performance of the water treatment plant can be monitored remotely.

The sale has a value of approximately A$500,000, with the purchase price being paid in instalments over the next 30 months. The first instalment which is due immediately is approximately A$240,000. Hung Thanh Environment Investment Joint Stock Company also intends to adopt De.mem’s proprietary membrane technology as part of an upgrade of the facility in the short-term.
