Large shareholder announcement concerning EuroPacific Growth Fund
pursuant to section 29 of the Danish Securities Trading Act

Pursuant to section 29 of the Danish Securities Trading Act, William Demant
Holding A/S hereby makes public that the Company has received the following
announcement:

On 2 November 2012, EuroPacific Growth Fund reduced its shareholdings in
William Demant Holding A/S and now holds a total of 4.93% of the share capital
in William Demant Holding A/S in direct ownership. EuroPacific Growth Fund has
delegated proxy voting authority to its investment adviser Capital Research and
Management Company. Please also see our Company Announcement No. 2012-08.

EuroPacific Growth Fund’s total holding of William Demant Holding A/S shares is
now 2,879,046 shares of DKK 1 each, equivalent to nominally DKK 2,879,046.
