Board Changes
Appointment of Chief Financial Officer
Further to the announcement on 16 February 2016 in relation to the resignation of Anne-Francoise Nesmes, Dechra is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Cotton as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO").
Richard will join the Company once he has served the notice period in his current role, which is expected to be by the beginning of January 2017. In the interim, Septima Maguire, the Group Financial Controller, will be the Acting CFO.
Richard, a Chartered Management Accountant, is currently CFO of Consort Medical plc, where he has been based since 2012. He has a wealth of experience in senior financial roles in life sciences and other sectors, having also been Finance Director of Vitec Group plc from 2008 to 2011, Group Finance Director at Wagon plc from 2005 to 2008 (Wagon plc entered into administration on 10 December 2008), and Group Finance Director of McLeod Russel plc from 2001 to 2005. Prior to this he held senior finance roles in Alcoa Inc.
Richard was a director of a number of former dormant subsidiaries of McLeod Russel plc which were liquidated as part of a corporate reorganisation following its acquisition by SPX Corp. The companies were dissolved by creditors voluntary liquidation and are shown in the Appendix to this Announcement.
Commenting on the appointment Ian Page, Chief Executive Officer, said:
