EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

De La Rue plc ("De La Rue" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Ruth Euling, Managing Director of De La Rue's Currency Division, as an Executive Director on the Board of the Company, with effect from 1 April 2021.

Ruth has been with De La Rue for over 30 years, in a variety of roles, during which she has managed complex international manufacturing businesses and change initiatives.  She has experience across a number of the Company's disciplines and functions, including sales, marketing, HR, manufacturing operations and general management.   In October 2019, Ruth was promoted to lead the Currency division and has since been instrumental in improving the performance of all aspects of the division.  She sits on the Advisory Board of the International Currency Association, helping to lead the currency industry in creating a single, cohesive voice.

Commenting on Ruth's appointment, Kevin Loosemore, Chairman of the Board, said:

"Ruth is one of the most respected figures in the Currency industry globally, with a depth of experience and knowledge that is admired by customers and industry peers alike.  She continues to demonstrate great leadership skills that are making a profound contribution to the turnaround of De La Rue.  We are delighted to appoint her to the Board, where she will further influence and support the development of the Group in the years ahead, while maintaining Executive leadership of the Currency division."
