DCI AG publishes provisional figures for first nine months Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The DCI Group today announced that revenue for the first nine months of 2001 will probably be posted at 11.5 million euros (compared with 7.3 million euros for the same period last year). Turnover from July to September 2001 amounted to 4.8 million euros (compared with 3.3 million euros last year). EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) was reported at minus 14.3 million euros. EBIT came to minus 39.8 million euros. As previously announced by DCI, this figure was depressed in particular through one-off amortisations of goodwill (which had no impact on liquidity) to the value of 21.9 million euros. From fiscal 2002 onwards, this item will no longer affect the profit and loss account. Cash amounts to 18.7 million euros. In accordance with the recent amendments to US-GAAP, DCI completely amortised the goodwill for both acequote.com Ltd and bonitrus AG in the third quarter. Both companies will continue to operate on a leaner basis. Cost-cutting measures are proving successful, steadily reducing the company’s cash-burn rate (now down from 8.4 million euros in the first quarter and 6.4 million euros in the second quarter to 5.7 million euros). The DCI Group strategy focuses on integrated services aimed at optimising sourcing, procurement, sales, marketing and data management processes. DCI anticipates that these services, coupled with further cost-cutting measures, will have a positive impact on earnings in the medium term. For fiscal 2001, DCI predicts a total revenue of 15 million euros and EBIT (excluding amortisation of goodwill valued at 21.9 million euros) of minus 24 million euros. Final figures and the 9 months’ statement will be presented by DCI on 15 November 2001. end of ad-hoc-announcement (c)DGAP 19.10.2001 ——————————————————————————– WKN: 529 530; Index: Listed: Neuer Markt in Frankfurt; Freiverkehr in Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, München und Stuttgart 192035 Okt 01
