The board of the Company has received notification that Miltos Kambourides and Michael Tsirikos have filed a counterclaim against the Company in the Greek Court. The Company believes the Counterclaim to be a response to the Company's criminal and civil claims against these and seven other people. The Company considers these claims to be opportunistic and without merit and will be defending them vigorously.
We also would like to use this opportunity to update shareholders about our recent legal win in Greece. DCP's close business partner Zoniro last year started legal proceedings against one of DCI's subsidiaries in Greece. The outcome of this legal proceeding was concluded in favour of DCI. As a result close to €500k in cash will be freed up over time for DCI's operations in Greece. We believe this judgement makes clear that the Greek legal system understands the nature of the dispute and its extent and gravity.
