Appointment of General Counsel and Company Secretary

DCC plc, the leading international sales, marketing and support services group, announces that after 33 years of service and more than 20 years as Company Secretary, Ger Whyte has decided to retire from the Company and will step down from his role with effect from 2 October 2020.

Darragh Byrne, currently Head of Group Legal & Compliance, will take up the position of General Counsel and Company Secretary with effect from 2 October 2020.  Darragh originally joined DCC in 2012 as Head of Group Compliance and was appointed as Head of Group Legal & Compliance in 2016. 

The Chairman of DCC plc, John Moloney, said today:

"Over 33 years of service, including 20 years as Company Secretary, Ger has made a significant contribution to the development of DCC. His guidance and counsel have been much appreciated by the Board and we thank him sincerely.
