Conditions for junior exploration companies such as Dateline continued to be extremely difficult. DTR’s response has been to adopt stringent cash control, and to confine all but absolutely essential expenditures.
The principal activities of the Company during the quarter has been the development of a potential opportunity in the USA. The result of this was provided to shareholders on 19 October 2016, where the Company was proud to announce the acquisition (subject to Shareholder approval) of the Gold Links Mine and related processing facilities in Colorado. An extensive project analysis has revealed compelling geology across the 600+ acre holding with valuation upside through exploration. Early cash flow opportunity exists from mill expansion and processing of existing ore stockpiles.
There were no acquisitions or disposals of any interests in any of the Company's existing projects during the quarter. Directors continue to investigate opportunities to participate in joint ventures and acquire projects in Australia and overseas.
