ANNOUNCEMENT ISSUANCE OF THE SECOND TRANCHE SUPER SHORT-TERM COMMERCIAL PAPER FOR THE YEAR OF 2022

This announcement is made by Datang Environment Industry Group Co., Ltd. (the “ Company ”) pursuant to Rule 13.09 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “ Listing Rules ”) and the Inside Information Provisions under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

Reference is made to the supplemental circular of the 2020 annual general meeting of the Company dated 15 June 2021 (the “ Circular ”) and the announcement on poll results of the 2020 annual general meeting dated 30 June 2021. Unless otherwise specified, the terms used herein shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Circular.

The board (the “ Board ”) of directors (the “ Directors ”) of the Company is pleased to announce that the Company has completed the issuance of the second tranche super short-term commercial paper for the year of 2022 (the “ SCP ”) and received the proceeds from such issuance on 30 March 2022. The ultimate issue size of the SCP is RMB500 million, with a term of 114 days, a face value of RMB100, and an issuing rate of 2.2%. Date of value is 30 March 2022.

The SCP was publicly issued to qualified investors, with Beijing Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd.* (北京農村商業銀行股份有限公司) as the lead underwriter and bookrunner. The proceeds from the SCP, after deducting issue expenses, is proposed to be used for repayment of interest-bearing liabilities.

The issuance of the SCP does not constitute any transaction under Chapter 14 and Chapter 14A of the Listing Rules.
