ANNOUNCEMENT CHANGE OF SENIOR MANAGEMENT

The board of directors (the “ Board ”) of Datang Environment Industry Group Co., Ltd.* (the “ Company ”) announces that the Board has resolved, at the 20th meeting of the first session of the Board on 17 November 2017, to approve the following:

RESIGNATION OF CHIEF ACCOUNTANT AND CHIEF ECONOMIST

The Board announces that Mr. Li Zhenyu (“ Mr. Li ”) has resigned as the chief accountant of the Company (the “ Chief Accountant ”) and Mr. Zeng Bing (“ Mr. Zeng ”) has resigned as the chief economist of the Company (the “ Chief Economist ”) commencing from 17 November 2017, due to work adjustment.

Mr. Li will leave the Company after resignation and Mr. Zeng will continue to serve as the board secretary, the joint company secretary and the authorized representative of the Company.

Mr. Li served as the Chief Accountant from 31 August 2016 to 17 November 2017. Mr. Li has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board and there is no other matter relating to his resignation as the Chief Accountant that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.

Mr. Zeng served as the Chief Economist from 10 March 2017 to 17 November 2017. Mr. Zeng has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board and there is no other matter relating to his resignation as the Chief Economist that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.

APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Mr. Zhang Keyan (“ Mr. Zhang ”) has been appointed as the Chief Accountant commencing from 17 November 2017.

Mr. Zhang will be mainly responsible for the Company’s financial management, capital operation and social security management of the Company. The biographical details of Mr. Zhang are set out below:

Mr. Zhang, aged 47, has approximately 25 years of experience in power industry. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Zhang successively served as a cashier of Finance Department of Qingdao Power Plant from July 1992 to October 1993, the accounting supervisor of the Material Company in Qingdao Power Plant (青島發電廠物資公司) from October 1993 to November 1994 and the accounting supervisor of the Industry Company in Qingdao Power Plant ( 青島發電廠實業總公司 ) from November 1994 to December 1997. He served as the accounting supervisor of Qingdao Branch, Shandong Luneng Electricity and Material Company ( 山東魯能電力物資公司 青島分公司 ) from December 1997 to July 2001 and the accounting supervisor of Industry Company of Qingdao Power Plant ( 青島發電廠實業總公司 ) from July 2001 to December 2001. Mr. Zhang served as the accounting supervisor of Accounting and Finance Department of Huadian Qingdao Power Generation Company Limited ( 華電青島發電公司 ) from December 2001 to March 2008 and the director of Finance Department of Huadian Qingdao Heat Company Limited ( 華電青島熱力 有限公司 ) from March 2008 to May 2009. He was the senior head of Finance and Asset Management Department of Datang Shandong Power Generation Co., Ltd. ( 大 唐山東發電有限公司 ) from May 2009 to October 2010, the chief accountant of Datang Qingdao Thermal Co., Ltd. ( 大唐青島熱力有限公司 ) from October 2009 to October 2010, a deputy director of Finance and Asset Management Department of Datang Shandong Power Generation Company Ltd. from October 2010 to January 2014, the deputy secretary of the communist party committee (in charge) and the deputy general manager of Datang Binzhou Power Generation Co., Ltd. ( 大唐濱 州發電有限公司 ) from January 2014 to June 2014. Mr. Zhang worked for China Datang Corporation ( 中國大唐集團公司 ) from June 2014 to October 2017. He successively served as a deputy director of the Accounting and Taxation Division of Finance Management Department and a director of Fund Control Center. Mr. Zhang graduated from Beijing Institute of Hydraulic and Electric Power Management in July 1992 and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Mr. Zhang has the senior accountant qualification awarded by State Power Corporation in December 2002.

The Board is of the view that Mr. Zhang is a suitable candidate for the position of the Chief Accountant given his proven competency and background.

Save as disclosed above, as of the date of this announcement, Mr. Zhang (i) does not have any relationship with any directors, senior management, substantial or controlling shareholders of the Company; (ii) does not hold any other directorships in any listed companies in the last three years; (iii) does not hold any other positions in the

Company or any of its subsidiaries; and (iv) has no interest in shares of the Company within the meaning of Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

Save as disclosed above, there is no other matter that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company in connection with his appointment.

The Company and the Board would like to express the gratitude to Mr. Li for his hard working and contribution to the Company, and to extend its welcome to Mr. Zhang on his new appointment.

As of the date of this announcement, the non-executive directors of the Company are Mr. Jin Yaohua, Mr. Liu Chuandong, Mr. Liu Guangming and Mr. Liang Yongpan, the executive directors of the Company are Mr. Deng Xiandong and Mr. Lu Shengli, and the independent non-executive directors of the Company are Mr. Ye Xiang, Mr. Mao Zhuanjian and Mr. Gao Jiaxiang.
