Bologna, 27 gennaio 2017 – Il Consiglio di Amministrazione di Datalogic S.p.A. (Borsa Italiana S.p.A.: DAL), società quotata presso il Mercato Telematico Azionario – Segmento Star – organizzato e gestito da Borsa Italiana S.p.A. ("Datalogic") e leader mondiale nei settori dell'acquisizione automatica dei dati e dell'automazione industriale e produttore di lettori di codici a barre, mobile computer, sensori per la rilevazione, misura e sicurezza, sistemi di visione e marcatura laser, ha esaminato in data odierna i dati dei ricavi di vendita preliminari del quarto trimestre 2016.
L'Amministratore Delegato del Gruppo Datalogic, Valentina Volta, ha così commentato: "Siamo molto soddisfatti dei ricavi conseguiti nell'ultimo trimestre (che è il migliore nella storia del Gruppo) e nell'intero esercizio 2016, che continuano ad evidenziare un andamento superiore a quello di mercato e in linea con le aspettative. In particolare è continuata la crescita a tassi sostenuti della Divisione ADC nel settore Retail ed in particolare negli scanner fissi a tecnologia imaging e mobile computer dove si registrano crescite a doppia cifra. Nel quarto trimestre forte ripresa in Nord America per la Divisione Industrial Automation, nel settore T&L".
I ricavi preliminari delle vendite del quarto trimestre 2016 si attestano a 155 milioni di Euro con una crescita del 7,6% rispetto al quarto trimestre 2015 (+7,0% a cambi costanti).
Il booking nel corso del trimestre – gli ordini già acquisiti – è stato pari a 161 milioni di Euro, in crescita dell'1,7% rispetto al quarto trimestre 2015 e del 16,4% rispetto al terzo trimestre 2016.
La Divisione ADC (Automatic Data Capture) specializzata nella produzione di lettori di codici a barre fissi per il mercato retail, di lettori manuali e di mobile computer ad uso professionale, ha registrato un fatturato di 105 milioni di Euro in crescita del 9,1% (+8,4% a cambi costanti) rispetto al quarto trimestre 2015. L'andamento positivo è dovuto alla vincita d'importanti progetti di scanner da banco e lettori manuali in ambito Retail principalmente in Europa.
La Divisione Industrial Automation specializzata nella produzione di sistemi di identificazione automatica, sicurezza, rilevazione e marcatura per il mercato dell'Automazione Industriale, ha registrato un fatturato di 40 milioni di Euro, evidenziando una crescita del 13,9% rispetto al quarto trimestre 2015 (+13,5% a cambi costanti). La divisione beneficia di una crescita sostenuta sia nel T&L, in Nord America e in Europa, sia nel Manufacturing.
La neo costituita Solution Net System Inc., derivante dallo spin off della Business Unit Systems, ha registrato ricavi nel quarto trimestre 2016 pari a 6,4 milioni di Euro in diminuzione del 17,1% rispetto al quarto trimestre 2015 (-17,8% a cambi costanti), mentre Informatics ha evidenziato una crescita dei ricavi del 9,1% a 5,8 milioni di Euro (+7,4% a cambi costanti).
Sui dodici mesi i ricavi preliminari delle vendite riflettono il progressivo miglioramento ottenuto nel quarto trimestre e si attestano a 576 milioni di Euro, con una crescita del 7,7% rispetto ai 535,1 milioni di Euro dei primi dodici mesi del 2015 (+7,6% a cambi costanti). Il booking ha raggiunto 586 milioni di Euro, in crescita del 4% rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2015.
I risultati dell'esercizio 2016 verranno approvati nel prossimo Consiglio di Amministrazione che si terrà in data 9 marzo 2017.
La Società comunica, altresì, l'avvenuto go-live del progetto, già comunicato al mercato in data 4 agosto 2016 e 18 ottobre 2016, finalizzato alla focalizzazione di tutti i processi aziendali in ottica cliente ed al completamento delle relative operazioni societarie che hanno portato le attività delle Divisioni ADC (Automatic Data Capture) e IA (Industrial Automation) a confluire in un'unica entità legale in ciascuna regione in cui il gruppo opera. Suddetto progetto consentirà ai clienti Datalogic delle Industries Retail, Tansportation & Logistics, Manufacturing e Healthcare di poter ulteriormente beneficiare della massima qualità in termini di prodotto ed efficacia dei servizi offerti.

Bologna, 27th January 2017 – The Board of Directors of Datalogic S.p.A. (Borsa Italiana S.p.A.: DAL), a company listed in the STAR Segment of the Italian Stock Exchange managed by Borsa Italiana S.p.A. ("Datalogic"), a global leader in Automatic Data Capture and Industrial Automation markets, and worldclass producer of bar code readers, mobile computers, sensors for detection, measurement and safety, vision systems and laser marking equipment, examined today its preliminary revenues for the fourth quarter of 2016.
The CEO of the Datalogic Group, Valentina Volta, commented: "We are extremely satisfied with the revenues achieved in the fourth quarter (that is the best in the Group's history) and in all of 2016, which continues to show a performance stronger than that of the market and in line with forecasts. In particular, a steady rate of ADC Division growth continued in the Retail sector, particularly in imaging-technology fixed scanners and mobile computers where growth reached double figures. The Industrial Automation Division saw a strong fourth-quarter recovery in North America in the T&L sector".
Preliminary sales revenues for the fourth quarter of 2016 came in at 155 million Euro, with a growth of 7.6% compared to the fourth quarter of 2015 (+7.0% at constant exchange rates).
Booking during the quarter - orders already received – amounted to 161 million Euro, +1.7% compared to fourth quarter 2015 and +16.4 compared to the third quarter 2016.
The ADC Division (Automatic Data Capture), specialized in the design and production of fixed retail scanners, professional handheld readers and mobile computers, registered revenues of 105 million Euro with a growth of 9.1% (+8.4% at constant exchange rates) compared to the fourth quarter of 2015. The positive trend is due to important projects won in fixed retail scanners and hand-held readers in the Retail sector mainly in Europe.
The Industrial Automation Division specialized in the design and production of automatic identification systems, safety, detection and marking solutions for the Industrial Automation market, registered revenues of 40 million Euro, showing a growth of 13.9% compared to the fourth quarter of 2015 (+13.5% at constant exchange rates). The division benefits from sustained T&L growth in North America and Europe, and growth in Manufacturing.
The newco Solution Net System Inc., resulting from the spin-off of the Systems Business Unit, registered revenues of 6.4 million Euro in the fourth quarter of 2016 down by 17.1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2015 (-17.8% at constant exchange rate), while Informatics showed a growth in revenues of 9.1% to 5.8 million Euro (+7.4% at constant exchange rates).
Preliminary sales revenues for FY2016 reflect the gradual improvement achieved in the fourth quarter, and came in at 576 million Euro, with a growth of +7.7% compared to 535.1 million Euro in the first twelve months of 2015 (+7.6% at constant exchange rates). The booking reached 586 million Euro, with a growth of +4% compared to the same period of 2015.
The 2016 Group's results will be approved during the next meeting of the Board of Directors, which will be held on March 9th, 2017.
The Company also announces the go-live of its project - already disclosed on August 4th, 2016 and October 18th, 2016 - for the customer-oriented focus of all company processes and completion of the related corporate transactions that led to ADC Division (Automatic Data Capture) and IA Division (Industrial Automation) activities merging into a single legal entity in each of the group's operating regions. This project will allow Datalogic customers in the Retail, Transportation & Logistics, Manufacturing and Healthcare industries to further benefit from the utmost quality in terms of product and effectiveness of the services offered.
