APPOINTMENT OF CEO AND NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dublin, Ireland – 3 October 2019: Datalex plc (the "Company" or the "Group") (Euronext Dublin: DLE), a leading provider of digital commerce solutions to global travel retailers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Corkery as Chief Executive Officer and the appointment of Christine Ourmières-Widener as an independent nonexecutive director of the Company with immediate effect.
Welcoming today's announcement, CEO and Interim Chairman Sean Corkery, said:

The time I have spent at the Company so far has convinced me that there is a significant market opportunity, a powerful commercial model and we now have a very strong team in place to capitalise on this. I would also like to welcome Christine who is joining our board. Christine brings considerable airline and board experience which will help steer our strategy and which will contribute to returning the Group to growth in 2020. She too can see the potential as Datalex looks to the future."
Christine Ourmières-Widener is a highly respected airline professional. Her tenure as CEO at two airlines (as CEO of Flybe until July 2019 and as CEO of CityJet for five years), along with representing Air France and KLM in Ireland, North America and the UK, has given her a true global perspective, as well as access to the perspectives of her fellow CEOs at the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Christine has significant board experience. She sat on the board of Flybe Group as well as the Board of Governors of IATA, was on the board of the Irish Sports Council, as well as the advisory board of WINiT (Women in Travel) and the governing board of the European Regions Airline Association. Previously she led the Strategic Account Group at American Express Global Business Travel and spent the early part of her career at Amadeus. She has a keen awareness of how technology can be leveraged to shape and transform airlines.
Commenting on the announcement Christine said that she was "very excited to join the board of Datalex plc. I believe the Company has strong foundations, a best-in-market product offering, and a strong management team. I look forward to leveraging my airline sector experience and connections to assist Sean and his team develop and grow the Company as we look towards 2020 and beyond."
The Company's Nominations Committee has initiated a process to search for a non-executive Chairman to succeed Sean Corkery (currently Interim Chairman) on a permanent basis.
Christine Ourmières-Widener has notified the Company, save as disclosed herein, that she does not have any details to be disclosed as required under Paragraph 6.6.7, Chapter 6 of the Euronext Dublin Listing Rules.
