DATADOT ITALIA - BOSCH AGREEMENT
The Directors of DataDot Technology Limited (ASX:DDT) announce that the company’s subsidiary, DataDot Technology (UK) Limited’s Italian distributor, DataDot Italia S.r.l., has entered into an agreement with Robert Bosch S.p.A. - Automotive Aftermarket Division for the supply and fitment of DataDotDNA[® ] through the extensive network of more than 1,500 Bosch Car Service workshops in Italy.
Mr Ben Bootle, CEO of DDT, said “the agreement is the next stage of our development of the Italian market where already 300,000 car identification kits have been supplied over the past 18 months. This is a significant strategic development in the company’s auto aftermarket growth in Europe. The agreement with Bosch, a well-established and respected company with an extensive supply network, provides an installation network solution for DataDot Technology in Italy. This is the next strategic step in proving the auto aftermarket business model before expanding it beyond Italy into other European countries”.
What is DataDotDNA®?
DataDotDNA® is a security identification system to protect motor vehicles, motor cycles, trailers, marine craft, business and personal property and belongings from theft.
The system uses tiny microscopic discs (microdots) containing unique information linked to legal ownership. As small as a grain of sand, DataDotDNA® microdots are recognised as being one of the most effective ways of preventing theft, and play a crucial role in the recovery and return of stolen goods. The unique code on the DataDotDNA® microdot is stored on our worldwide verification database, DataBaseDNA®.
The “datadots” can be brushed or sprayed onto assets and stay there for the life of the asset. DDT has patents granted and pending on its own innovative compressed air and aerosol spray process, which can now mark a complete car in minutes. A car
can be fitted with thousands of DataDotDNA® microdots, most often applied at the place of assembly, importation facility, or in the aftermarket (retail market). The unique code on the DataDotDNA® can be read with a simple optical microscope with 30-100 times magnification – with no complicated forensic investigation necessary.
