Dear Shareholder,
With the Annual General Meeting (AGM) due in just over two weeks and as a number of queries have been raised by shareholders I wish to place the following information before you for your consideration.
You may recently have received a letter from a group labelling themselves, “Concerned DDT Shareholders”, which urges shareholders to oppose all resolutions submitted to the AGM. I do not believe this action would be in the best interests of the company.
One of these resolutions is for the election of Mr Bruce Rathie as a director of the company. Before casting your vote you should be aware that Mr Rathie was unanimously nominated for election by directors in a resolution moved by Mr Michael George.
The directors have issued today an ASX announcement of the company’s year-to-date trading performance. This reports that sales are at 95% of budget with gross profit ahead of budget and expenditure well-controlled and below budget. The company’s cash position has improved from $761,000 at the end of June 2009 to $1,010,000 at the end of August 2009.
I have taken steps to ensure that on Friday of this week (2 October) the CEO will release as an ASX announcement a detailed presentation on the company’s strategy and direction. This will be available to shareholders via the company’s website at www.datadotdna.com.
Shareholders have been provided with a questionnaire and invited to lodge questions for response at the AGM. Please use this facility as directors are keen to ensure that shareholders are fully and accurately informed.
Yours sincerely
