Data I/O took restructuring actions this week to reduce quarterly operating expenses and production costs by approximately $300,000. These actions include reductions in personnel and the use of contractors, professionals, and consultants, as well as focusing our development efforts on a smaller number of projects during the current economic downturn.

The restructuring charge associated with these actions is expected to be approximately $185,000 and is primarily related to severance. The restructuring charge will be incurred in the third quarter and paid out during the fourth quarter of 2012.
