CARL SWENSSON APPOINTED NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dart Mining NL ASX:DTM (“Dart” or “the Company”) is very pleased to advise of the immediate appointment of experienced senior mining executive and company director Mr. Carl Swensson as nonexecutive director to the board of Dart Mining NL.
Mr Swensson is a Geologist with over 30 years of extensive global experience in mineral exploration and resource assessment. He served as a Chief Geologist of Exploration for Normandy Mining from 1989 to 2002, during which time the Company grew from $100 Million to a $4.9 Billion market capitalisation. Carl has wide-ranging, global, field experience in most commodities and deposit styles for gold, base metals, lithium, uranium, diamonds, coal and graphite. Mr Swensson has also been involved in a number of other established mining and exploration companies including;
Inflection Resources Pty Ltd. – Vice President Exploration Jaxon Minerals Inc – Vice President Exploration Lefroy Resources Ltd - Technical Director Bendigo Gold Associates – Exploration Manager CRA Exploration Pty Ltd (Rio Tinto) – Senior Geologist
He has worked globally in a number of regions including Australia, Canada, Europe, Indonesia and Latin America. Mr. Swensson has been directly involved in Mergers and Acquisitions, Financial control, Health, Safety, and Environment, Personnel, and Governance.
Mr. Swensson said:
“I am delighted to be joining the Dart Mining board and I am looking forward to working closely with the excellent exploration team in place. Dart’s exploration portfolio and prospectivity in NE Victoria is exceptional and the company’s Granite Flat Gold/Copper Porphyry project looks very promising.
Mr Swensson added “Having previously spent time at Granite Flat during the late 1980’s, I am thrilled to be directly engaged there again. Beyond Granite Flat it makes sense that the team is prioritising its Buckland project. I am very impressed with the work and results that the company has produced at Buckland.”
