Unicorn Environment Pre-feasibility Studies –Major EES step forward

Directors of Dart Mining N L are pleased to announce that in a further major step forward, an extensive spring survey of the flora, fauna and aquatic habitats of the Unicorn Project area, aimed at meeting Environmental Effects Statement (EES) and EPBC approvals, has commenced. This survey, led by Biosis Pty Ltd, includes assessment of the cultural heritage values and development of a management plan for the area.

Biosis has previously completed winter habitat surveys and have not identified any significant impediments to the Company’s Corryong regional exploration activities in terms of impacts to significant ecological and cultural heritage values.

Dart Mining, Acting CEO John Cornelius said that “this year’s survey had expanded its focus and reach relative to that deferred in November 2013, Dart Mining being conscious of the need to go beyond previously accepted and black letter requirements.”

The Unicorn Project ---Corryong NE Victoria

The Unicorn copper, molybdenum, silver Project holds the potential to become the focus of a major North eastern Victorian mineral province. The existing discovery currently comprises a JORC resource of 203 million tonnes of copper-molybdenum-silver. Additionally, porphyry-hosted mineralisation of this style typically occurs in clusters and Dart’s regional exploration program has already identified further such targets

Dart Mining announced on 30 July 2014 that the Pre-feasibility Study of a potential 10 million tonne per annum Project had recommenced following metallurgical laboratory testing providing levels of comfort on the technical achievability of saleable molybdenum and copper products, and on 11 September, 2014 the complete metallurgical turnaround of the Unicorn Project.
