Dart Mining Awarded Inaugural Rediscover Victoria Drilling Grant.
Dart Mining is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Rediscover Victoria Drilling (RVD) grant for $59,194 from the Victorian Government for exploration drilling at its Dart tenement EL4726.
“We are very excited to be among the first recipients of these grants and to be part of such a great initiative for exploration in Victoria” said Dart Mining CEO John Quayle.
“Our geologists have developed some cutting edge concepts for identifying prospective gold and base metals mineralised systems in porphyry targets and this grant will help us to rapidly progress our exploration of these targets” he said.
Dart has made substantial progress toward understanding the potential for porphyry style of mineralisation in its tenements by geological, geophysical, metallogenic and structural synthesis through geological time scales, aided by three-dimensional digital modelling. This led to the development of the Polygon Vortex Model which assists Dart in identifying porphyry exploration targets.
Dart plans to use the RVD grant for its proposed exploration and drilling program at the North Mammoth target in the Dart EL. To date Dart has collected over 400 water geochemistry sampling to build data for its Polygon Vortex Model, used to focus exploration for intrusive related gold mineralisation (in particular reduced intrusive related gold mineralisation). Samples from the North Mammoth target have identified and confirmed the presence of a prospective gold, silver and base metals mineralised system which warrants further exploration.
The dollar for drilling dollar grant is part of a new initiative established by the Victorian Government, designed to increase the level of greenfields exploration drilling in the state.
The RVD scheme was developed help to stimulate drill testing of new and previously uneconomic exploration targets, with the hope of advancing geological understanding and resource potential across the state.
“Receiving this RVD grant will allow us to escalate our exploration activities across all our tenements, bringing us closer to achieving our goal of discovering a gold resource of sufficient size to make the transition from gold explorer to gold producer” said Mr Quayle.
