CEO appointment confirmed

John Cornelius has been confirmed as Chief Executive Officer of Dart Mining.

Chairman Bruce Paterson said “The Board had confirmed that Mr Cornelius, who has been Interim CEO and Commercial Manager for the past year, is clearly the right person to lead the Company as it continues to define what is emerging as a potential porphyry province in North-East Victoria.”

The decision to focus on all opportunities presented by this potential porphyry province – of which Unicorn with its extensive Cu and Mo content is a significant element – was foreshadowed at the company’s AGM in Albury in November 2014.

Mr Paterson added “John Cornelius led the team which successfully addressed the metallurgical issues which previously threatened the viability of Unicorn. Additionally he has significant experience in leading companies through a range of exploration and development phases and was instrumental in Dart Mining’s 2014 capital raising.”

“The Company has strong cash reserves which will enable it to advance the Pre-Feasibility Study at its Unicorn project while building data on promising surrounding prospects such as Copper Quarry and Fairley’s.“

“John is admirably placed to lead the Company into this new and exciting phase.”

The remuneration for Mr Cornelius will remain unchanged from his previous position other than a performance incentive of 750,000 options, exercisable at 6 cents, to be issued under the employee option plan approved by shareholders at the 2014 AGM.

Copper Quarry porphyry target

Widespread alteration and copper mineralisation noted in RC holes 1 and 2 associated with porphyry dykes. The decision has been made to extend hole #2 with a diamond core tail to 450 metres.
