Dart Mining NL is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Lindsay Ward as the Company’s new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Dart Mining’s Chairman, Mr Chris Bain, said, “Dart is delighted to have appointed a person of Lindsay’s calibre as Managing Director. He brings over 25 years’ of broad industry experience to Dart Mining, having held executive positions in the resources, power generation, ports, rail and logistics industries. Lindsay has extensive experience in mining and mineral processing and has led project teams responsible for new mine developments and the introduction of innovative mining technologies, especially within Victoria.”

Mr Bain added, “As a qualified geologist, Lindsay has gold and base metal exploration experience. Lindsay also has detailed knowledge and experience of the Victorian approvals process, government liaison, mine development and logistics that will be invaluable in providing leadership for Dart Mining as it looks especially to further evaluating the potential of the Unicorn molybdenum-copper-silver project near Corryong in NE Victoria.“

Lindsay Ward’s previous roles include General Manager Mining of the Yallourn Energy open cut mine in Victoria and senior mine engineering roles in NSW with Camberwell Coal and in Queensland with BHP Australia Coal. Lindsay’s most recent role was as General Manager Patrick Ports and Pacific National Bulk Rail – a business unit within Asciano Limited.

Background

Dart Mining, a Victorian based exploration company, has discovered a new metallogenic province hosting molybdenum-copper-silver mineralised porphyry intrusives within a key structural location in the Lachlan Fold Belt near Corryong in North East Victoria.

Drilling to date at the Company’s Unicorn molybdenum-copper-silver porphyry (Mo-Cu-Ag) project has confirmed the existence of an extensive and open mineralised system, including 436m @ 0.05% Mo within which are multiple higher grade zones of up to 0.63% Mo. Significant copper and silver mineralisation is associated with the molybdenum. The geology of Unicorn and these results are comparable to some of the world’s largest primary molybdenum projects.
