Good morning ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the first AGM of Dart Mining NL as a Public Company.
As Chair of Dart Mining and it gives me great pleasure to report to you our company’s performance over the past year.
In my report to you today I will provide a brief overview of Dart’s activities before asking our Chief Executive Officer, John Quayle, to discuss the company’s operational performance to date, and outline our key objectives for 2007/08.
We will then move on to the procedural matters and you will have the opportunity to ask us questions about the last six months’ operations and our plans for the future.
This past year has been very rewarding for us at Dart, highlighted by our successful listing on the ASX on the 10[th] May, 2007, which attracted a broad shareholder base that included significant support from regional Victoria.
In July we issued one bonus option for every two shares held by all shareholders on the register at that time. These options are listed and trading on the ASX and whilst today the headline share price is just below the initial 20 cent issue price the share and option package for our initial shareholders is showing a modest return on the investment and I thank you for your continuing support.
Over the 6 months since listing we have built momentum in our exploration activities. A drill program was completed at the Mountain View prospect in July, and a few weeks ago we undertook some preliminary drilling at Mt Elliott and are again drilling at Mountain View. Indeed our two executive directors have left the drill site to be here today.
Dart Mining commenced as a vision, based on years of prospecting and exploring in NE Victoria. The basis of Dart’s ASX listing was a regional structural concept that provided a guide to the possible distribution of mineralisation, together with the identification of outcropping disseminated gold mineralisation around old high grade mines and encouraging results from a small amount of drilling at Mountain View. Since listing Dart has established its internal management systems, employed additional members in the exploration team and built an active exploration presence in the NE of Victoria and SE NSW as we follow up on those opportunities identified in the Prospectus.

Guided by the overall structural model of the region, there have been some changes in our overall tenement position as we have made statutory relinquishments of some ground and applied for new areas. The regional exploration effort involves field reconnaissance and water, soil and rock chip sampling from which a number of new targets have been identified that require additional follow up. We expect that from this work we will identify some that warrant drilling with the possibility of becoming the mines of the future.
At our core projects, Mountain View, Mt Elliott and Fairley’s, drilling has been a little slower than we would have liked due to the lack of available rigs and people. With the current skills and equipment shortage affecting the mining industry, this is a problem felt by all. Nevertheless, at Mountain View the results so far have been very positive, with grades and widths of gold mineralisation over a growing strike length sufficient to indicate that it is a target worthy of further work to determine if it hosts sufficient gold to become a mine.
We expect to have a more suitable drill rig available in February followed by a second rig shortly thereafter and plan a major drill campaign through the summer to complete our initial evaluation of the core projects. I look forward to reporting the results to our shareholders as they come to hand.
I would like to thank the team for the effort they have put into establishing the corporate systems and procedures, including the OH&S and environmental management procedures that underpin Dart’s field activities.
Before moving on to the formal part of this Annual General Meeting, John Quayle our CEO will now outline the exploration activities in a little more detail, then at the conclusion of this meeting you are welcome to stay and discuss the poster displays of our exploration activity with our Executive Directors.
