Appointment of Director

The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Jose Ribeiro as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 2 December 2019.

Jose has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry globally having been a board member in several jurisdictions around the world. He started his insurance career with American International Group (ALICO) in 1986 as a Life and Pensions actuary and spent the first 16 years of his career working in the Life and non- Life (re) insurance industries working with subsidiaries of AIG and Munich Re, performing a variety of senior roles (including CEO, Chief Actuary, Pension Fund manager, Regional Director for Employee Benefits, etc.) in Europe, the US and Latin America.

Since 2002 Jose has had a variety of roles including CEO for Latin America and the Caribbean at Willis, Director for International Markets at Lloyd's of London and a member of its executive team where he was responsible for overseeing the Lloyd's trading platforms in China, Japan and Singapore, and Managing Director and Board Member for Asia-Pacific at A.M. Best (Credit Rating Agency). Jose moved to Hong Kong in 2016 where he resided until early 2019. Jose is a certified EU actuary with an MBA degree.

There is no information that is required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
