GRUPPO DANIELI – BILANCIO ANNUALE AL 30.06.2017

In occasione della presentazione del bilancio della Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A. alla stampa, banche, azionisti e analisti in data 4 ottobre 2017, a tutti i partecipanti sarà distribuito il fascicolo "Year". Tale documento includerà la lettera agli azionisti che riassume i dati più significativi dell'esercizio appena concluso e già diffusi al pubblico, nonché alcuni dati previsionali di Gruppo per l'esercizio 2017/2018, che vengono qui riportati suddivisi tra "Plant Making" e "Steel Making":

Attività del Gruppo Danieli

Il Gruppo Danieli ha sostanzialmente due attività principali: la prima (Plant Making) è nel settore di ingegneria e costruzione impianti anche chiavi in mano per la produzione di metalli. Le principali società operative del Plant Making si trovano in Europa (Italia, Svezia, Germania, Francia, Austria, Olanda, Regno Unito, Russia, Spagna) ed Asia (Cina, Tailandia, India, Vietnam), con centri di servizio in USA, Brasile, Egitto, Turchia ed Ucraina.

Nel settore Plant Making Danieli è tra i primi tre costruttori mondiali di impianti e macchine per l'industria dei metalli con la leadership in acciaierie ed impianti per la produzione dei prodotti lunghi (impianti che producono acciaio utilizzando forni elettrici - eventualmente con riduzione diretta del minerale - che, oltre ad essere competitivi per Capex e Opex, sono "environmental friendly" se comparati agli impianti integrati con alto forno ed uso di carbone Coke), ed è il secondo costruttore di impianti per la produzione di prodotti piani.

La seconda attività (Steel Making) è invece la produzione di acciai speciali con le società Acciaierie Bertoli Safau S.p.A. (ABS) ed ABS Sisak d.o.o. (ABS Sisak). La produzione è destinata all'industria automobilistica, mezzi pesanti, industria meccanica, energetica e petrolifera. ABS è la numero uno in Italia e tra le prime in Europa nel settore di pertinenza.

Il Gruppo Danieli occupa in Friuli-Venezia Giulia circa 6.000 persone tra diretti e indotto e contribuisce per quasi il 40% all'export annuo della provincia di Udine e per il 20% di quello regionale.

DANIELI GROUP – ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE PERIOD ENDED JUNE 30, 2017

During the presentation of the Annual Report of Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A. to the press, banks, shareholders and analysts, to be held on October 4, 2017, a copy of the "Year" booklet will be distributed to all the participants. This document contains the Letter to the Shareholders summarising the most significant numbers for the year that just ended and that have already been made public, as well as a forecast of some Group figures for the 2017/2018 financial year, referring to the Plant Making and Steel Making segments, as shown below:

The shareholders' meeting to approve the Annual Report will be held on October 27, 2017, with only one convocation date.

Danieli Group Operations

The Danieli Group essentially runs two main businesses: The first (Plant Making) is in the field of engineering and manufacture of plants – including turnkey plants – for the production of metals. Its principal operating companies in the Plant Making segment are in Europe (Italy, Sweden, Germany, France, Austria, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Russia, Spain) and in Asia (China, Thailand, India, Vietnam), with service centers in the US, Brazil, Egypt, Turkey and Ukraine.

In the Plant Making sector Danieli is one of the top three manufacturers in the world for metal making plants and machines, leader in meltshops and plants for the production of long products (these plants produce steel in electric arc furnaces – including from direct reduced iron – and in addition to being competitive in terms of Capex and Opex, are also environment-friendly, compared to integrated plants that use blast furnaces and coke), and second in the manufacture of plants for flat products.

The second business (Steel Making) concerns the production of special steels through the companies of Acciaierie Bertoli Safau S.p.A. (ABS) and ABS Sisak d.o.o. (ABS Sisak). The steels produced in these facilities supply the automotive industry, heavy-duty vehicles, engineering, energy and petroleum industries. ABS is the number one steelmaker in Italy and among the leading ones in Europe in its field.

In Friuli-Venezia Giulia the Danieli Group provides employment for about 6,000 people, either directly or through linked industries, and represents almost 40% of the yearly exports of the province of Udine, and 20% of those of the region of Friuli.
