Torino – Buttrio, 29 marzo 2023 - Il Raggruppamento Temporaneo tra Siemens Energy e Fata – Parte del Gruppo Danieli fornirà quattro stazioni di conversione per il progetto "Tyrrhenian link", per collegare meglio le reti elettriche delle isole più grandi del Paese a quelle della terraferma, aprendo una nuova era dell'energia sostenibile.
L'ambizioso progetto di Terna, denominato Tyrrhenian Link, collegherà l'Italia continentale con la Sicilia e la Sardegna, mediante una tecnologia in corrente continua ad alta tensione (HVDC), attraverso un collegamento elettrico lungo 970 km per un valore complessivo di 3,7 miliardi di Euro.
Il Consorzio comprendente Fata – società parte del Gruppo Danieli fornirà quattro stazioni di conversione chiavi in mano - situate a Eboli (Salerno), Termini Imerese (Palermo) e Selargius (Cagliari). Ad ovest, il collegamento connetterà la Sicilia alla Sardegna, mentre all'estremità opposta il primo sarà collegato alla Campania sulla terraferma. Le stazioni sono progettate per convertire la corrente alternata (CA) che ricevono dalle rispettive reti locali in corrente continua (CC) da 500 kilovolt, che verrà inviata attraverso i cavi sottomarini.
Una volta raggiunta la stazione terminale, l'elettricità verrà riconvertita in CA, prima di essere immessa nella rete locale.
Fata – Parte del Gruppo Danieli si occuperà della fornitura del balance of plant, che comprenderà opere civili, impianti elettromeccanici, impianti ausiliari e assistenza all'avviamento per un valore complessivo di circa 370 milioni di Euro. Il completamento del progetto Tyrrhenian Link è previsto per la fine del 2028.

Torino – Buttrio, March 29th, 2023 - The Temporary Grouping between Siemens Energy and Fata – Part of Danieli Group will supply four converter stations for the "Tyrrhenian link" project, to better connect the country's largest islands electric grids to the mainland's, unlocking a new era in sustainable energy.
Terna's ambitious project, called Tyrrhenian Link, will connect Italy's Mainland with Sicily and Sardinia, by means of a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) technology through a 970-km-long power link for a total value of 3.7 billion Euros.
The Consortium including Fata – Part of Danieli Group will provide four turnkey converter stations located in Eboli (Salerno), Termini Imerese (Palermo) and Selargius (Cagliari). At west, the link will connect Sicily to Sardinia, while at the opposite end the first will be connected to Campania on the mainland. The stations are designed to convert the Alternating Current (AC) they receive from their respective local grids into 500-kilovolt Direct Current (DC), which will be sent through the submarine cables.
Upon reaching the terminal station, electricity will be reverted to AC, before being fed into the local grid.
Fata – Part of Danieli Group will take care of the supply balance of plant, which will include civil works, electro-mechanical installations, auxiliary systems and start-up assistance for a total value of approx. Euro 370 Million. Construction of Tyrrhenian Link converting stations are scheduled to be completed for the end of 2028.
