Moody's upgrades Yes Bank to'B3' on ₹15,000-cr fundraising

MOODY'S INVESTORS SER-VICE on Monday said it has upgraded several of Yes Bank's debt instruments to B3 from Caa1, following the close of the lender's ₹15,000-crore equity fund-raise. UPI transactions hit new high of 149 crore in July

THE NUMBER OF payments transacted on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) hit an all-time high of 149 crore (1.49 billion) in July this year, with the value of transactions reaching ₹2.91 lakh crore, NPCI data showed.

The previous high was 134 crore $(1.34$ billion) transactions in the preceding month of June, while the value of transactions was ₹2.61 lakh crore, as per the data from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

In July 2019, the number of UPI transactions stood at 82.23 crore, with cumulative value of $\bar{\tau}$ 1.46 lakh crore.

During the April-July period of 2020-21, the cumulative transactions on UPI reached 631 crore. The value transacted stood at ₹6.31 lakh crore.

In 2019-20, the number of UPI transactions was 1,252 crore, while the value of payments was ₹21.32 lakh crore.

प्राकृतिक तेल संसाधन के मामले में धनी ओमान के कोरोना संक्रमण से प्रभावित होने के बाद मई से अभी तक पिछले तीन महीने में 50,000 से ज्यादा भारतीय यहां से अपने देश लौट गए हैं। टाइम्स ऑफ ओमान ने मस्कट स्थित भारतीय दूतावास के हवाले से सोमवार को लिखा कि मई से ओमान में कोरोना विषाणू संक्रमण के मामले बढने लगे थे। इसके बाद कंपनियों और देश के सामाजिक संगठनों द्वारा चार्टर्ड किए गए कुल 198 विमानों से 35,000 भारतीय घर गए हैं। सरकार के वदे भारत मिशन के तहत 97 विमानों से 17,000 और भारतीय घर लौट गए।

भारतीय मूल के न्यायिक आयुक्त एवं सिंगापुर में बौद्धिक संपदा विशेषज्ञ दीदार सिंह गिल ने सोमवार को यहां उच्च न्यायालय के न्यायाधीश के तौर पर शपथ ली। इस प्रतिष्ठित न्यायिक पद पर उनकी नियुक्ति की मंजूरी इस साल अप्रैल में दी गई थी। उन्होंने राष्ट्रपति हलीमा याकूब की उपस्थिति में पद की शपथ ली। न्यायमूर्ति गिल (61) अगस्त 2018 में सुप्रीम कोर्ट के पीठ में शामिल हुए थे, जहां उन्हें न्यायिक आयुक्त नियुक्त किया गया था। यहां के सुप्रीम कोर्ट में हाई कोर्ट और अपीलीय अदालत भी शामिल है। इसके पहले वह ड्रीव एवं नेपियर में बौद्धिक संपदा विभाग के प्रबंध निदेशक थे।

अफगानिस्तान में आइएस के कब्जे नवंबर में होने वाले अमेरिकी से मुक्त कराई जेल, 29 की मौत चुनाव को साइबर खतरा मतदान को ठप कर सकता है रैनसमवेयर हमला

पूर्वी अफगानिस्तान के नंगरहार प्रांत की राजधानी जलालाबाद में सोमवार को इस्लामिक स्टेट (आइएस) के साथ घंटों तक चली मूठभेड़ के बाद सेना ने जेल को अपने नियंत्रण में ले लिया । इस्लामिक स्टेट के हमले में अब तक 29 लोग मारे जा चुके हैं।

समझा जाता है कि इस जेल में आइएस के सैकड़ों कैदी हैं। इस हमले से अफगानिस्तान के समक्ष आने वाले चुनौतियों का संकेत मिलता है। अमेरिका द्वारा तालिबान के साथ शांति संधि करने के बाद अमेरिका और नाटो के सैनिक वापस जाने लगे हैं।

रक्षा मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता फवाद अमान ने बताया कि यहां से करीब 115 किलोमीटर दूर जलालाबाद में सुरक्षाबलों ने सोमवार को इस जेल को कब्जे में ले लिया। हमले में कम से कम 50 घायल भी हुए। जेल को सुरक्षाबलों द्वारा अपने नियंत्रण में लेने के बाद भी आसपास की इमारतों से रुक रुक कर गोलीबारी जारी है। इसी स्थान पर गवर्नर का कार्यालय भी है।
