CVC SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENTS LAUNCHES \$30 MILLION CAPITAL RAISING

CVC Sustainable Investments ("CVCSI") has launched a \$30 million open capital raising to target new investment opportunities in high-growth environmentally sustainable businesses.

CVCSI is one of a stable of investment vehicles that is managed by CVC Limited (ASX: CVC). The new capital raising has a minimum subscription of \$10,000 and is targeting superior returns over the medium to long term. CVC Limited is committed to increasing its recurring income stream and the capital raising by CVCSI will result in the generation of additional management fees for the company.

The capital raising is well timed to capitalise on rapidly growing investor confidence and public awareness in the environmental sector and has attracted substantial retail and institutional investor interest with an excellent track record of investing in profitable, environmentally sustainable companies for the past seven years, since 2000.

The fund has made a total of 10 investments since inception, with a history of generating an internal rate of return of 23.1% internal rate of return on the realisation of deployed capital.

The capital raising by CVCSI of \$30 million will continue to target investment in high-growth, environmentally sustainable companies in the following sectors:

• clean energy and energy efficiency $\bullet$
• water and air purification
• waste management
• · alternative fuels
• sustainable agriculture
• $\bullet$ sustainable materials
• low emissions and renewable energy

As well as CVCSI, CVC Limited manages a number of investment vehicles including CVC Trinity Property Fund; CVC Private Equity Limited and CVC Renewable Energy Equity Fund (CVC REEF) and management is focused on increasing it funds under management.

As well as funds management, CVC Limited has also developed a diversified investment portfolio incorporating listed shares, direct property and private equity investments. CVC Limited has invested in more than 70 businesses across all industries and participated in over 20 initial public offerings and trade sales.

CVC Limited has a market capitalisation in excess of \$325 million and is forecasting a net profit after tax of \$30 million for the year ended June 30 2007.
